Privacy notice

This notice covers information submitted through The Global Brit website and its mailing-list forms. The paid Network and Operating System may require additional terms and privacy information before enrolment opens.

When you join the mailing list, we collect your email address, any name you choose to provide, the source of your registration and a record of when and how you consented. Our website and service providers may also create limited technical and security records such as an IP address, browser type and submission time.

We use mailing-list information to send Global Brit commentary, selected briefings, Network updates and relevant offers; manage your communication preferences; answer requests; and protect the website and list from abuse. Marketing email is sent on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us.

We use service providers to operate the website, forms and email list. These currently include Vercel for website hosting and Circle for forms, contact management and email. They process information on our instructions and may process it in countries outside your own, subject to the safeguards made available through their services and applicable law.

We do not sell mailing-list information.

Mailing-list records that do not become customer or member records are deleted no later than 24 months after their last meaningful engagement, unless an earlier deletion is requested or a longer period is required to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. We may retain a minimal suppression record after an unsubscribe so that we can respect the request not to send further marketing.

You can unsubscribe at any time. You may also ask what information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain uses, or ask for a portable copy where applicable. Rights differ by location and may be subject to lawful exceptions.

The current public website does not intentionally use advertising cookies. Hosting and form providers may still create essential security, delivery and diagnostic records. This notice will be updated before materially different tracking or advertising technology is introduced.

We may update this notice as the Network opens or our services change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
